Dalestølen Sweater
The Dalestølen jumper in merino wool is a sportier, lighter version of our classic Cortina 1956 jumper. Made from 100% skin-soft merino wool, the Dalestølen features an updated version of the Cortina pattern and a high neckline with a quarter zip.
The pattern comes from the original 1956 Cortina jumper - Dale of Norway's very first Olympic jumper, made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Cortina pattern embodies the essence of Norwegian tradition and has become one of Norway's most popular patterns.
Dalestølen is named after a summer farm in the steep mountains around Dale. In earlier times, this farm served as a summer pasture for cattle and sheep. Today it is a popular destination for hiking, as it offers a great view over the mountainous Dale area.
