The pattern design is taken from our original 1956 Cortina sweater – our first ever Olympic sweater made for the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d’Ampezzo. This pattern captures the very essence of Norwegian tradition and had become one of Norway’s most beloved patterns. All knitted together into a hat with a young fit and vibe.

The Cortina hat is made of 100% fine Norwegian wool. This yarn offers incredibly lightness and a unique, crisp look. By selecting the finest wool from the sheep’s very first shearing, the fibers are short, giving us a finer and softer yarn with. The outcome is a thin, light and soft hat, while maintaining the brilliance, crimp and longevity for which Norwegian wool is world renowned. For extra comfort, the inside is knitted with soft merino wool.
